Baraga-Houghton-Keweenaw Community Action Agency
Baraga-Houghton-Keweenaw Community Action Agency (BHK CAA) provides flex route and demand-response services in the Keweenaw area. Service is prioritized for senior citizens and persons with disabilities due to federal funding constraints, but when space is available, BHK CAA will transport members of the general public on its routes. A flex route runs from Keweenaw County to Houghton, and the two demand-response service areas serve Central and Northern Houghton/Keweenaw County. The Central Houghton County demand-response area includes Chassell, Atlantic Mine/South Range, Painesdale/Trimountain, Dollar Bay, and Hancock/Houghton. The North End demand-response area includes Calumet/Laurium, Lake Linden, Kearsarge, and other nearby communities.
Routes/schedules are weather-permitting in winter.

Demand-Response: Point-to-point pickup and drop-off service is provided in response to phone call requests.
Flex Route: Service operates generally with a regular route and schedule but will depart some distance from the route as needed to pick up and drop off passengers.
